In privileged user mode, you can deliver messages from global Backup to recipients or forward the messages to any addresses. Available delivery settings depend on the relevant permissions.

You can change the default sender address that is specified for the message delivered from Backup as an attachment.

You can send messages one at a time, as a group, or all at the same time.

To deliver a single message from global Backup:

  1. In the application web interface window, select the Backup section.
  2. To select a message and go to the sending settings, do one of the following:
    • In the list of messages in Backup, select the message you need.

In the View message information window, go to the Send message group of settings.

    • In the list of messages in Backup select the check box next to the message and click Send.

This opens the Send messages window.

  3. If you want to send the message to original recipients:
    1. Turn on the To the recipients whose messages were backed up toggle switch.
    2. If a list of the original recipients is displayed, select check boxes next to the addresses of the recipients to which you want to deliver the message.

The list of original recipients is displayed only when you are sending messages from the View message information window.

  4. If you want to forward a message to other addresses:
    1. Turn on the To the following email addresses toggle switch.
    2. In the text box below, enter the email addresses to which you want to forward the message.
  5. If you want to have the message delivered as an attachment, select the Send the message as an attachment check box.

If the check box is cleared, the message is sent in its original form.

By default, the state of the check box corresponds to the delivery format configured in Backup settings.

  6. Some mail systems, for example, Microsoft Exchange Server, may reject repeated delivery of a message with the same SMTP Message-ID header. To deliver the message from Backup in its original form to such a system, you must remove the SMTP Message-ID header. To do so, select the Remove SMTP Message-ID check box.

By default, the state of the check box corresponds to the value configured in Backup settings.

Available only for the As is message delivery format.

If the message has a DKIM signature, removing the SMTP Message-ID header may damage it.

  7. Click Send.
  8. In the confirmation window, click OK.

The message is placed in the delivery queue.
