Changing role settings

Superuser and Viewer roles cannot be changed.

You can change the name of a role and the set of permissions it has.

To modify role settings:

  1. In the main window of the application web interface, open the management console tree and select the Accounts and roles section, then select the Roles tab.

    This opens the table of roles.

  2. Select the role for which you want to modify settings.

    This opens the role editing window.

  3. Click Edit.

    This opens the Edit role window.

  4. If necessary, edit the name of the role in the Role name field.
  5. If necessary, modify the list of permissions that the role has. To do so, select or clear check boxes under Permissions.
  6. Click Save.

Role settings are modified.

Changes of role permissions take effect for users that have the role assigned 30 seconds after the changes are saved or after the next authorization in the web interface.
