You can change the protected infrastructure selected for a policy. This may be required, for example, if you are creating a policy by copying a policy that was created for a different KSC cluster. If this is the case, you need to copy the policy to the folder of the relevant KSC cluster and select the protected infrastructure of this KSC cluster in the copied policy.

To change the protected infrastructure selected for a policy:

  1. Open the protected infrastructure in the policy that you want to edit.
  2. In the right part of the window, click the Change button.
  3. The Connection to the Integration Server window opens. The window displays the settings for connecting to the Integration Server whose address is indicated in the lower part of the window. If required, edit the connection settings and click OK.
  4. After the connection is established, the Choice of protected infrastructure window opens. Select one of the following options:
    • If you are configuring a policy for one KSC cluster, select the One VMware vCenter Server option, then in the list select the VMware vCenter server corresponding to the KSC cluster.

If the selected VMware vCenter server does not correspond to the KSC cluster for which the policy is configured, Kaspersky Security does not protect virtual machines.

    • If you are configuring a policy for all KSC clusters, select the All VMware vCenter Servers option.
  5. Click OK in the Choice of protected infrastructure window and, in the opened window, confirm the change to the protected infrastructure.
  6. In the Properties: <Policy name> window, click OK.
