After installing Kaspersky Security, you must enable Anti-Virus protection of virtual machines by using a policy. By default, Kaspersky Security does not protect virtual machines.

To do so, you must perform the following actions:

  1. Configure the protection profile settings.

The main protection profile is created automatically when a policy is created. You can configure its settings while creating a policy or in the policy properties.

You can also create and configure additional protection profiles.

  2. Assign a protection profile to objects of the protected infrastructure.

Kaspersky Security protects virtual machines according to the settings that are specified in the protection profiles assigned to them.
