Installing the 5.1.1 application update package

If you are installing the application for the first time, skip this step.

Before installing the application update package, we recommend first creating a backup copy of the current state of the application and downloading it to the hard drive of your computer from the application administrator menu. If an error occurs during installation of an application update package or if you need to reinstall Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform, you can use your backup copy of the application.

To install the Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform 5.1.1 update package, the following conditions must be satisfied:

• The version of the Central Node component must be 5.1.
• The Sandbox component version 5.1 must be installed.
• The Sandbox component must be connected to the Central Node component.
• KATA, KEDR, or KATA and KEDR license keys must be added to the application.

To install the Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform 5.1.1 update package:

1. Delete installed virtual machines with preset images of Windows operating systems on the Sandbox server.
2. Delete preset images of Windows operating systems and software for the Sandbox component.
3. Upload non-activated images of operating systems and applications required for the operation of the Sandbox component.
4. Create and install virtual machines with non-activated operating system images.
5. In the application web interface, under OS set, selectCustom.
6. Under Set composition, clear the check box next to Windows XP.
7. Click Apply.

The upgrade package is installed.
