Modifying the network settings of a cluster node

The IP address and port number that KSMG uses for machine-to-machine communication within the cluster are specified during the initial configuration of the application. If you want to change the IP address of the server on which the application is installed, after editing the network settings of the operating system, you must also take steps to change the IP address of the cluster node. You must do the same if you want to change the port number used for machine-to-machine communication within the cluster.
Changing the port number of the web interface does not affect other nodes or the whole cluster.
To maintain the integrity and manageability of the KSMG cluster, node addresses must be changed in a certain order. The procedure depends on the number of nodes in the cluster and the number of nodes for which you want to change addresses. The following cases are possible:
- Some nodes in the cluster must have their addresses changed.
- All nodes in the cluster must have their addresses changed. This scenario is also used when the cluster consists of a single node.
