Application installation and setup

The application must be installed on an empty virtual machine without an operating system. The application is installed using an ISO file that contains an operating system image with pre-installed KSMG and a built-in mail server.

Installing KSMG involves the following steps:

1. Creating a virtual machine

   Connect the installation ISO file to the created virtual machine and power on the virtual machine.

2. Configuring the application in the physical console of the virtual machine

   Configuration is performed using the Setup Wizard.

When deploying a KSMG cluster containing multiple nodes, for each node, you must create a new virtual machine and perform the initial configuration procedure. You cannot clone existing virtual machines to create new nodes.

After installation, the application begins recording information relevant to the operation of its components in the KSMG event log, the syslog event log, as well as trace files in accordance with the specified trace level. For more details, see the section About data provision.
