Step 7. Configuring the receipt of network settings via DHCP

At this step, you can configure the network adapter to receive network settings via DHCP.

Dynamic network settings may be used only for deployment in a testing environment for trying out the application. If you are deploying the application in a production environment, you must use static network settings.

To configure the network adapter to receive network settings via DHCP:

1. In the Edit connection window, navigate to the IPv4 CONFIGURATION setting, which is set to Disabled by default, and press Enter.

   

2. Select Automatic from the drop-down list and press Enter.

   

3. In the Edit connection window, navigate to the OK button in the lower right corner and press Enter.

The configuration of the network adapter to receive network settings via DHCP is complete.
