Updating KSMG

Kaspersky may release KSMG update packages. For example, Kaspersky may release critical fixes for vulnerabilities or bugs, maintenance packs that add or improve KSMG features, and packages with additional localizations for KSMG.

After KSMG updates are released, you can install them through the KSMG web interface.

Before installing upgrades or a localization package using the web interface of KSMG, you must download the update package or the localization package with the KTGZ extension along with instructions on how to install this update from the Kaspersky website or a partner company website.

KSMG services may be paused while the update is being installed. The upgrade process may take several minutes. After starting a KSMG update, do not interrupt the update process or turn off the virtual machine. After installing updates, you may need to restart KSMG.

Centralized installation of upgrade packages to all cluster nodes is not supported. The upgrade steps must be completed individually on each node of the cluster.

You can upgrade KSMG version 2.0.1 to version 2.1. Updating from earlier versions of the application is not supported.
