An error occurs during the database update. In the Detailed Reports window you may see the following:

  • the update status appears as "Not all components were updated"

  • there is an "Error updating components" message in the update list

There are several possible reasons for the issue:

  • Kaspersky application or server malfunctions
  • Power interruption during the database update
  • Use of a caching proxy server
  • A third party application conflict on the computer


Try launching the database update again. If you encounter the same error, reinstall the application. To do so:

  1. Download the installation package from the Kaspersky website:

  2. Uninstall the current version of the application. See this article for instructions. To retain your current license, select the License information check box in the Saving objects window when uninstalling the application.
  3. Restart your computer.
  4. Run the installation file and follow the installation instructions:

The application will be reinstalled and work-ready.
