The article concerns the following versions of Kaspersky Security Center 10:

  • Service Pack 3 (version 10.5.1781.0)
  • Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 1 (version 10.4.343)
Kaspersky Security Center 10 supports the technology Administration Kit Automation 10. This technology permits a network administrator to automate antivirus protection and manage administration server settings by writing scripts and startup scenarios.

Administration Kit Automation 10 is based on COM.API technology.

To use Administration Kit Automation 10 technology, write a script using OLE components (OLE objects) or ActiveX. You can use Jscript and VBScript languages as well as high-level languages supporting OLE technology (C, C++, Visual Basic, Visual Basic .NET, C#, J#, for example).

How to use Administration Kit Automation 10:

Find the klakaut.chm file in the Administration Server installation folder (Disk:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security Center).

This file contains descriptions of objects and methods, as well as examples describing standard scenarios.

A scenario must be run on the Administration server. The user account running the scenario requires relevant Active Directory administration permissions.

On 64 bit operating systems, run the scenario using 32 bit Windows Scripting Host. For example, if you have a ready scenario named test.js, run it using the command:

%windir%\SysWoW64\cscript.exe test.js

%windir%\SysWoW64\wscript.exe test.js file contains examples of scenarios.
