How to configure general Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition settings:

right-click Anti-Virus console node Kaspersky Anti-Virus and invoke the command Properties.

  • The tab General allows configuring the following settings:

    • Maximum number of working processes Kaspersky Anti-Virus can start;
    • Fixed number of processes for real-time protection;
    • Number of working processes for background on-demand-scan tasks;
    • Number of attempts to restore tasks after an abnormal termination.
  • The tab Advanced allows configuring the following settings:

    • Display program icon in task bar;
    • Actions if uninterruptible power supply is used;
    • Set a number of days to generate events Databases out of date, Databases obsolete, Critical areas have not been scanned for a long time.

  • The tab Malfunction diagnosis allows configuring the following settings:

    • enable/disable generation of a trace log file;
    • configure log settings;
    • enable or disable generation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus process memory crash dump files.

  • Click OK once you are through with modifying general Kaspersky Anti-Virus settings.
