Issue
When installing or removing Kaspersky Security for Windows Server (KSWS), the following errors may occur:
- Error 27300: Error installing driver ***
- Error 27320: Error configuring service
- Error 1603: Setup process error
- Error 1723: Problem with the installer package
- Error: Uninstallation password or user name has not been specified or is incorrect
- Remote installation has been completed with an error on this device: Fatal error during installation
- Remote installation has been completed with an error on this device: To install the application, you must accept the terms of the License Agreement
Solution
- Make sure that:
- There is no password protection for removal on your device. If the password protection is set, check that you enter the correct password.
- The Base Filtering Engine runs on the device.
- The application is being installed/removed under an administrator account, and the user is included in the KAVWSEE Administrators group.
- Group Policies (GPOs) are configured correctly, if any. Try to move the device to a container (OU) without active policies and force applying the settings.
- Try to remove the application locally without using Kaspersky Security Center.
- Download the latest KSWS version. Restart the device and retry installing/removing the application.
- If third-party data protection software is installed on the device, update the software to the latest version.
What to do if the issue persists
If the issue persists, collect diagnostic data and submit a request to Kaspersky Technical Support via Kaspersky CompanyAccount. Attach the KSWS installation and removal logs and the GetSystemInfo utility report with the Include Windows event logs option selected.
