In June 2024, Google dropped support for two authentication schemes in the Google Firebase Cloud Messaging service.

If you use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging when managing Android devices, follow these steps until June 20, 2024 to keep delivering commands and policy changes via push notifications:

  • Update the authentication data for Kaspersky Security for Mobile.
  • If you use Kaspersky Security for Mobile as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, EDR Optimum and other solutions, follow these instructions to update the KSC protocol.
If the update and patch are not installed, the delivery of commands and policy changes via push notifications will stop working.
Device synchronization will work using the KSC mobile protocol with a default synchronization period of every 6 hours. If required, you can change the synchronization period in the policy settings. For example, once in 15 minutes in Kaspersky Security for Mobile.
