Error installing Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers on servers with Turkish and Azerbaijani regional settings
This article concerns:
- Kaspersky Security 9.6 for Microsoft Exchange Servers Maintenance Release 6 (version 9.6.96.0)
- Kaspersky Security 9.5 for Microsoft Exchange Servers Maintenance Release 5 Hotfix 1 (version 9.5.10000.64)
Issue
The installation process of Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers on servers with Turkish and Azerbaijani regional settings may end up with an error or terminate after filling out the credentials.
Solution
To install Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers on such servers, change regional settings for the following user accounts:
- User account under which Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers will be installed.
- User account under which the service of Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers will run.
- User account under which the Administration Console will run.
- Local System user account.
To change regional settings:
- Open Control Panel → Clock, Language, and Region → Region.
- Select a different Format (for example, English). Click Apply.
To change regional settings for the Local System account:
- Open Control Panel → Clock, Language, and Region → Region.
- Go to the Administrative tab and click Copy settings.
- In the Welcome screen and new user accounts settings window, select the Welcome screen and system accounts checkbox and click OK.
You can restore initial settings for a user account under which Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers has been installed after the installation is finished.
