How to install Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server
To install Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server on the 64-bit Ubuntu 20.04 operating system, do the following:
- Make sure that the server meets the system requirements.
- Download the Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server installer in the DEB format.
- Install the glibc package. To do so, run the following commands:
dpkg --add-architecture i386
apt-get update
apt-get install libc6:i386 libcrypt1:i386
64-bit operating systems require the 32-bit version of glibc.
- Run the following command:
locale-gen en_US.UTF-8
- To install the application, run the command:
dpkg --force-architecture -i klms_<version_number>_i386.deb
- If you want to install the package in another language, replace xx with a two-letter language code in the command below and run it. For example, sp for Spanish.
dpkg -i klms-110n-xx_<version_number>_all.deb
Installation of the English localization package is not required.
Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server will be installed.
How to install the web interface of Security 8 for Linux Mail Server
- Make sure that the server meets the system requirements.
- Download the Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server web interface installer in the DEB format.
- If you are using Apache versions, install and enable the following modules:
- For Apache 2.2: mod_alias, mod_authz_host, mod_dir, mod_env, mod_expires, mod_headers, mod_rewrite, mod_ssl, mod_version.
- For Apache 2.4: mod_alias, mod_authz_core, mod_dir, mod_env, mod_expires, mod_headers, mod_include, mod_rewrite, mod_ssl, mod_version.
- Run the following command:
dpkg -i klmsui_<version_number>_amd64.deb
If you are using an Exim mail server version 4.93 or later, send a request to Kaspersky support for a patch.
The web interface of Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server will be installed.
