“The application should be reinstalled” message

Issue

When activating a Kaspersky product, you may get the error message "The application should be reinstalled".

Solution

To fix this problem, reinstall the application:

  1. Download the application installer:
  2. Remove the application. In the Saving objects window, select the License information or Subscription information checkbox. See this article for instructions.
  3. Restart your PC.
  4. Run the installation file and follow the instructions in these articles:
