Kaspersky Security 10 for Windows Server critical fix KB13806
Critical fix KB13806 for Kaspersky Security 10 for Windows Server (version 10.0.0.486) was released on September 6, 2017:
- For 64-bit operating systems: critical_fix_product_core_17(kb13806)_x64.zip
- For 32-bit operating systems: critical_fix_product_core_17(kb13806)_x86.zip
The fix includes all the previous public updates (including KB13742), improves the performance of Kaspersky Security 10 for Windows Server, and optimizes the following components:
- Kaspersky Security Center Integration
- Anti-Cryptor
- Applications Launch Control
Improvements
- Optimized application performance when deployed in server environments with a high number of operating system logon/logoff operations. Kaspersky Security 10 for Windows Server consumes less CPU resources to process such operations once KB13806 has been applied.
- The list of recognizable file types for the Anti-Cryptor component has been extended.
Fixed issues
- Fixed the issue with the Applications Launch Control component that led to the incorrect processing of application launches on servers running under Windows Server 2016 if they had been digitally signed with a catalog file. Kaspersky Security 10 for Windows Server applies the allowing and denying certificate-triggered rules correctly for the files with a .cat signature once the KB13806 has been installed.
- Fixed issues with the algorithm for the Anti-Cryptor component. Kaspersky Security 10 for Windows Server detects the activity of a wider range of ransomware once KB13806 has been applied.
- The algorithm for routing the requests to KSN services via the KSN Proxy with the UDP protocol has been fixed.
- Fixed compatibility issues fixed with the new and previous versions of the Kaspersky Security 10 for Windows Server plugin. For example, you will be able to apply Kaspersky Security Center policies configured with the new version of the plugin to manage Kaspersky Security 10 for Windows Server.
