When migrating from Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 R2 for Windows Workstations to Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Maintenance Release 1 with encryption, it is necessary that a certain order be observed:
- First of all, upgrade Network Agent to version 10.1.249. Network Agent upgrade may be performed either locally or remotely, via Kaspersky Security Center.
- After Network Agent has been upgraded, install Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Maintenance Release 1. You can do it either way:
Method 1
Install Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Maintenance Release 1 with an encryption module.
- Unpack the installer of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Maintenance Release 1;
- Unpack the AES encryption module;
- Copy the MSI package of the AES encryption module into the root of the folder with unpacked installation files of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Maintenance Release 1;
- In the Administration Console of Kaspersky Security Center 10, create a new installation package based on Kes10win.kpd from the root of the folder with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 installation files;
- As a result, the encryption module will be included into the installation package;
- Create and run the task that will remotely install the package on the managed computers;
- Finally, Maintenance Release 1 for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 will be installed on the managed computers with the encryption module.
Method 2
Install Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Maintenance Release 1 on top of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 R2 for Windows Workstations, then separately install the encryption module.
