Step 1. Verifying installation requirements

If there is an older version of Kaspersky Security Gateway among the detected applications, the Setup Wizard automatically removes the old version and installs the new version of Kaspersky Security Gateway at the Setup Wizard stage.

If there is Kaspersky Security Gateway 2.0 or an earlier version installed, the Setup Wizard will not remove the old version and will cancel the installation. Before installing Kaspersky Security Gateway 3.2, manually remove Kaspersky Security Gateway 2.0 or any earlier version.

Before installing or upgrading Kaspersky Security Gateway, the Setup Wizard verifies that the following requirements are satisfied:

• The computer and installed software meet the hardware and software requirements.
• The user account has the privileges needed to install applications.

If any one of the previous requirements is not met, a relevant notification is displayed on the screen, and the installation process is aborted.
