How to upgrade to Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11 for Windows
Application versions you can upgrade from
You can upgrade the following applications to Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11:
- Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 2 for Windows (version 10.3.0.6294)
- Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 4 for Windows (version 10.2.6.3733)
- Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 3 for Windows (version 10.2.5.3201)
- Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 2 for Windows (version 10.2.4.674)
- Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 1 for Windows (version 10.2.2.10535(MR1))
- Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 for Windows (version 10.2.2.10535)
For activating the new version, use the key file for the previously installed version.
The previously installed version is removed automatically when upgrading.
Ways to upgrade
Decrypt all hard drives before the update. For more information about data encryption, see the Online Help page.
To upgrade your application, use one of the following methods:
- Local upgrade through the installation wizard.
- Local upgrade in interactive or silent mode from the command line.
- Remote upgrade through Kaspersky Security Center 10.
- Remote upgrade through the group policy management editor.
To install the application in silent mode, enter the parameter PRIVACYPOLICY=1 in either the command line or the setup.ini file. This means that you accept the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy file is included into the distribution package of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11 for Windows.
The contents of the quarantine and backup storage:
- Are transferred when upgrading from Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 2 for Windows.
- Are not transferred when upgrading from an application version earlier than Service Pack 2.
