How to enable or disable debugging mechanisms in beta version of a Kaspersky application
This article concerns beta versions of Kaspersky home solutions and Kaspersky Small Office Security.
The beta versions of Kaspersky applications will have Microsoft Application Verifier (AppVf) and Microsoft Driver Verifier (DrvVf) debugging mechanisms included by default.
These mechanisms are designed to identify and tackle functionality problems in beta version applications.
Enabling debugging mechanisms will turn on event logging on the PC. This in turn may lead to reduction in performance and operating system or application slowdown. How to enable or disable debugging mechanisms
- In the top-left corner of the application main window, click Beta. To learn how to open the main window, see this article.
- Select action:
- To turn on the debugging mechanisms, click Enable.
- To turn off the debugging mechanisms, click Disable.
- Click Confirm.
- You will need to restart the PC for the changes to take effect. You can restart directly from the application interface or postpone the restart. Select action:
- To restart immediately, click Reboot.
- To postpone the restart, click Later.
