Description

The APNs certificate installation to the iOS MDM server via Kaspersky Security Center 10 may sometimes return an error, if tracing of the iOS MDM server and the connector is disabled. This is a known issue in Kaspersky Security Center 10 (version 10.0.3361.0) Mobile device management functionality.

This issue will be fixed in later versions of the application.

Solution

To solve the issue:

  • Download and unpack the iOS_MDM_trace1.3.zip package to enable/disable tracing.
  • To enable tracing of the server and the connector, run the following files on a computer with the iOS MDM server installed:

We recommend that you make a backup copy of the registry before making changes to it.

    • For a 32-bit OS - iosmdmserver32_on.reg and iosmdmconn32_on.reg.
    • For a 64-bit OS - iosmdmserver64_on.reg and iosmdmconn64_on.reg.
The trace file of the iOS MDM server is created in the %ProgramData%\KasperskyLab\IOSMDM\kliosmdmservice.log folder.
The connector trace file named "$klnagent-1103.log. is generated in the Network Agent folder.
  • Install an APNs certificate via Kaspersky Security Center 10.
  • Disable tracing of the server and the connector by running the following files on the computer with the iOS MDM server installed:

    • For a 32-bit OS - iosmdmserver32_off.reg and iosmdmconn32_off.reg.
    • For a 64-bit OS - iosmdmserver64_off.reg and iosmdmconn64_off.reg.
  • If the APNs certificate installation fails, please attach the trace files with the detailed description of the issue to the Technical Support request.
