How to get a Kaspersky Security Center 10 Network Agent connector trace file

Kaspersky Lab specialists may request a Kaspersky Security Center 10 Network Agent connector trace file for troubleshooting issues with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows. 

To generate a Kaspersky Security Center 10 Network Agent connector trace file:

  1. Make sure your user account has administrator privileges.
  2. Enable tracing in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows.
  3. Restart the Kaspersky Security Center Network Agent service.

  1. Reproduce the situation in which the issue arose.
  2. The trace file for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows is created in the folder %ProgramData%\Kaspersky Lab:
    • For  Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7,  Windows 8 / 8.1, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016: C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab
    • For Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 — C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab.

Depending on your version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows, the trace file may have one of the following formats:

  • For SP1 MR4 and earlier: KES.10.x.x.xxx_TIMESTAMP.AVPCon.dll.log
  • For SP2: KES.10.x.x.xxx_TIMESTAMP.connector.dll.log.enc1
  1. Disable tracing in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows.
  2. Restart the Kaspersky Security Center Network Agent service.
  3. Save the trace file.

You can only delete the connector trace file once you have disabled tracing and restarted the Network Agent service (or rebooted the computer). Please send the resulting file to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support, along with a description of the issue.
