If you want to create an image of a system with the Network Agent installed and then to deploy it across the network in your business environment, you should create the image on the host where the Network Agent has not been launched yet. This wil help you to avoid issues with identification of computers by the Administration Server.

To create an image:

  • Deploy the operating system image and configure all third-party software, as needed.
  • Disconnect the host from the network where Kaspersky Security Center 10 is installed.
  • Start the local installation of the Network Agent using the setup.exe file and specify the Administration Server address. If you do not know the exact address of the server, enter localhost. You can change the address later using the klmover utility with the -address parameter.
  • When installing the Network Agent, disable the Start application during installation option.
  • When the installation is completed, create the system image at once and do not restart the computer. Otherwise you will have to repeat the whole process.
  • Execute the following command in the command line prompt: sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /shutdown. Wait for the computer to shut down.
  • Now the image is ready to be deployed.
