Before installing Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server, you should create a special user account which will be used for running Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server services.

This user account requires having the following permissions:
  • Local administrator on the servers to install the application.

    This permission is necessary to have for saving application data in installation folder and for using the Stsadm command line utility.

  • Farm Administrator permissions

    This permission is required for authenticating the account used for running the Administration console.

  • SharePoint_Config and SharePoint_AdminContent_UID database permissions.

    This is required for running the Stsadm utility which is used for controlling Microsoft SharePoint antivirus settings antivirus settings.

    How to grant permissions to the mentioned databases to a user account:

    • Grant the role Dbowner to the user account using SQL Management Studio.

      or

    • Use the following SharePoint 2010 Management Shell command:

      Get-SPDatabase | ?{$_.Name -eq "SharePoint_Config"} | Add-SPShellAdmin –Username domainname\UserName

      «SharePoint_Config» – Microsoft SharePoint server configuration database name, 
      domainname\UserName – name of the created user account.
