The sharepoint.infocollector.exe utility collects information of three kinds:
- Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server environment information:
- Windows OS version;
- Current local language settings of the OS;
- UAC (User Account Control) mode status, if it is supported by your OS;
- Installed version of MMC (Microsoft Management Console);
- If Cluster Service is installed and executed on the host;
- Product version;
- User account running the application service.
- Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server log files:

- Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server dump files.
All the collected information is packaged in a *.tar.gz archive. In the utility settings, you can indicate full path to a folder where to save *.tar.gz files.
The utility can be configured (what information to collect, where to store the resulting file, how to send the results) via its GUI or by running the utility with certain keys in command line prompt. The utility starts with English GUI (no other localizations supported).

The GUI allows selecting what information exactly the utility should collect and where to place it. Information types are selected in the left part, and the resulting archive file name – in the lower part of the form.
