Warning Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Linux File Servers installed on a FreeBSD system cannot be upgraded via Kaspersky Administration Kit, because there is no Network Agent for FreeBSD.


How to upgrade Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Linux File Servers via Kaspersky Administration Kit:

  1. Install the new version of Administration console plug-in (download and run the klcfginst.exe file);

  2. Create and run a remote Kaspersky Anti-Virus uninstallation group task:



  3. Create an installation package of the new Network Agent version (the folder containing the klnagent.kpd file should also contain klnagent_8.x.x-xxx_i386.deb (klnagent-8.x.x-xxx.i386.rpm) and akinstall.sh):



  4. Install the new Network Agent version on selected computers:



  5. Create an installation package of the new Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Linux File Servers version (the folder containing the kav4fs.kpd file should also contain kav4fs_8.0.x-xxx_i386.deb (kav4fs-8.0.x-xxx.i386.rpm) and akinstall.sh):




  6. Install the new Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Linux File Servers version on selected computers, as in the step 4.
