You can manage the principal Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Lotus Domino functions via the Domino server console command line. System commands should be entered only for the kavcontrol task on each server individually.

The syntax of the command:

tell kavcontrol <command> [<argument>]

where  

  • <command> – a Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Lotus Domino command;  
  • <argument> – an argument required to execute the command (as necessary).
  • If an argument is a file/folder path, you should observe the requirements of the operating system installed on the server. If a file path contains a space, you should enclose the entire path in double quotes without delimiting the quotes from other symbols with spaces. A single space should separate the command from the argument:

    For example:

    tell kavcontrol addlicensekey "/home/petia/my key"

    Execute a database scan. 

    StopScanner 

    Stop a database scan. 

    PauseScanner 

    Pause a database scan. 

    ResumeScanner 

    Resume a database scan. 

    StartUpdater 

    Start an antivirus database update. 

    StopUpdater 

    Stop an antivirus database update. 

    ShowVersion
