Applies to Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers

  • When using a remote SQL server, it is necessary to install the Security server under an account having permissions for this server. You cannot use Local System account in this case.
  • If a reboot is required after installing .Net Framework 3.5 SP1, it should be carried out before starting to use the application MMC console. Otherwise application management console may work incorrectly.
  • The task run schedule (generation of reports, starting background scan, etc.) is configured in the Administration console in UTC format (not in local time of the computer used to run the Console).
  • Objects detected by the heuristic analyzer are processed according to the configured rules without notifying hereof.
  • Adding several registries at once to the SURBL and DNSBL lists and saving the configuration, may result in appearance of clones of some of the listed registries in the Management console. It does not cause the lists to malfunction. In order to correctly add registries to the lists, you should save the configuration after adding each single registry.
  • When creating two different reports which have been configured at the same time, one can overwrite the other.
  • When creating a filter to view Backup contents by time, it it impossible to set an exact time. Only date can be chosen.
  • If a part of a Security server (Edge role, e.g.) is running in a DMZ and is not included in the corporate domain structure, it cannot be managed from a remote workstation. The Management console should be run on the protected server itself.
