What to do if a local provider blocks Kaspersky servers

Issue

In some regions providers may block Kaspersky servers. Because of this, Kaspersky applications do not receive updates.

Solution

Choose one of the following solutions:

  • Set up a VPN connection, for example, using Kaspersky Secure Connection. For instructions on using Kaspersky Secure Connection, see Online Help. If you computer is connected to the Internet via a proxy server, establish a VPN connection on this proxy server.
  • Go to the network settings and specify as DNS servers Google Public DNS addresses: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. See this article for instructions. If you computer is connected to the Internet via a proxy server, go to the proxy server settings and specify Google Public DNS addresses.
