How to roll back to the previous version of Kaspersky Security Cloud and keep the application settings

If you want to return to the previous version of the application, you can switch back and keep your settings: 

  1. Simultaneously press the Win and E keys on your keyboard.
  2. Open the folder:
    • C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security Cloud 20.0.0 — for 32-bit operating systems. 
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security Cloud 20.0.0 — for 64-bit operating systems.
  3. Copy the install.cfg.imported file to Desktop.

  1. Rename the copied file into settings.cfg.
  2. Remove Kaspersky Security Cloud. See this article for instructions.
    In the Saving objects window, select the License information checkbox. 
  3. Restart the computer and download the installation file of the previous version from the Kaspersky Lab server.
  4. Run the installer.
  5. When prompted to search for a new version, click Skip. Complete the installation.
  1. Connect Kaspersky Security Cloud to your My Kaspersky account.
  2. In the main application window, click The settings icon in the lower-left corner

  1. Click Manage Settings → Import settings.

  1. Choose settings.cfg and click Open.

  1. If the application requests confirmation, click Continue.

  1. Wait until the settings are imported.
  2. Go to the Additional section and select Update.

  1. Select Do not download new versions automatically and do not notify me when new versions are available.

Now, you can use the earlier version of Kaspersky Security Cloud with the settings you have imported.
