When you are connected to a public or home wireless network that is not secure enough, your personal information could be intercepted by criminals.

Kaspersky Security Cloud checks the status of Wi-Fi network on the basis of data provided by Kaspersky Security Network and some other criteria, for example, whether whether a vulnerable encryption protocol or a common network name (SSID) are used. Based on this information, Kaspersky Security Cloud determines whether or not the network is secure.

By default, notifications about vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi networks are disabled, though we recommend enabling them.

You cannot enable notifications about vulnerabilities in wireless networks in Kaspersky Security Cloud if Kaspersky Secure Connection is installed on your computer. You can enable them via Kaspersky Secure Connection instead.
