Why Kaspersky Secure Connection requires access to location on Android 9 and later

Due to requirements of Android 9 and later, for correct functioning of adaptive scenarios of secure connection on wireless networks, the application requests access to some additional settings:

  1. Allow access to location settings. The application will request it at the first start.
  2. Enable access to location in the accessibility settings. See the instructions on the Google support website.

Kaspersky Secure Connection does not have access to GPS data and does not track your real location. Location services are used only for acquiring information about the wireless network: its SSID and BSSID.
