The Application Startup Control component in Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.0 Light Agent works according to a Default Deny rule. This allows the administrator to form the lists of allowed and blocked applications.  

Application Startup Control is available on virtual machines running under Desktop or Server versions of Windows operating system.

Application Startup Control is available in Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.0 Light Agent under the extended commercial license Kaspersky Hybrid Cloud Security Enterprise. Activate Application Startup Control with a new license when upgrading from version 4.0 to version 5.0 of Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent.

The license for Kaspersky Security for Virtualization (KSV) and a standard commercial license for Kaspersky Hybrid Cloud Security Enterprise do not cover activation of the Application Startup Control component in Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.0 Light Agent. The license for Kaspersky Hybrid Cloud Security Enterprise which is compatible with version 4.0 activates the full functionality of Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 4.0 Light Agent.
