Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.x Agentless can assign Security Tags to a secure virtual machine:

  • The ANTI_VIRUS.VirusFound.threat=high security tag is assigned to a virtual machine on which viruses or other threats have been detected.
  • The IDS_IPS.threat=high security tag is assigned to a virtual machine when activity characteristic of a network attack has been detected in its traffic.

You can assign and remove security tags manually in the VMware vSphere Web Client console:

  • In the virtual machine’s properties.
  • In the VMware NSX Manager properties, for one or more virtual machines.
