How to manage Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.x Light Agent for Windows from the command line

You can access avp.com from the application installation folder or by specifying the full path to the executable file. If the path to avp.com has been added to the %PATH% system variable, you do not need to specify the full path to it.

General command syntax: 

avp.com <command> [parameter]

You can use the following commands:

  • HELP — syntax help, display the list of commands.
  • SCAN — scan objects for malicious code.
  • UPDATE — run a databases update task.
  • TRACES — enable or disable traces.
  • START — run a task or a component. Must be password-protected. 
  • STOP — stop a task or a component. Must be password-protected. 
  • STATUS — display the current status of a component or a task.
  • STATISTICS — show the statistics for the component or the task.
  • RESTORE — restores the file from the backup storage.
  • EXPORT  — export the application’s protection settings.
  • IMPORT — import the protection settings of the application.
  • LICENSE — display the license status.
  • EXIT - close the application. Must be password-protected. 
  • SVMINFO — show information about the SVM.
  • POOLTYPE — show or set the virtual machine template type.
