How to manually deploy an SVM for Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 4.0 Light Agent

  1. Download the SVM image to the hypervisor and extract it from the archive.
  2. Deploy a virtual machine with 2 processors and 2GB of RAM based on the SVM image.
  3. Power on the virtual machine.
  4. Sign in under the root account with the password 123456.
  5. Run the following commands:

su –c "connectorlang en" – klconfig
su –c "nagent your_ksc_ip 13000 14000" – klconfig

  1. Configure the hypervisor settings:

su –c "hypervisordetails hv_addr hv_type user" – klconfig

For example:

hypervisordetails vcenter65.test2.local 3 test1\test

For a VMware hypervisor, with the address vcenter65.test2.local and the user test1\test.

The hv_type parameter can have the following values: 0=unknown, 1=Hyper-V, 2=Xen, 3=VMware, 4=KVM, 5=Hyper-V Cluster.

  1. Run the following commands:

su –c "passwd klconfig" – klconfig 
su –c "passwd root" – klconfig 
su –c "hostname your_svm_hostname" – klconfig
su –c "permitrootlogin yes" – klconfig

  1. Configure the IP address.
  • When using DHCP: 

su –c "dhcp eth0 yes" – klconfig

  • When using a static IP: 

su –c "network eth0 svm_ip netmask broadcast def_gateway" – klconfig 
su –c "dns dns1_srv_ip dns2_srv_ip" - klconfig

  1. Run the following commands:

su –c "manageservices restart network" – klconfig
su –c "klservices stop" – klconfig
su –c "klservices start" – klconfig

  1. You can check the connection using the following commands: 

su –c "checkconfig sc_connect" – klconfig
su –c "checkconfig hv_connect" – klconfig

  1. Restart the virtual machine.
