Kaspersky Secure Connection cannot be installed in Belarus, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Iran, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, and Hong Kong due to legal limitations on the use of Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Kaspersky Secure Connection checks the status of the wireless network (Wi-Fi access spot) based on KSN and a set of other criteria, such as whether a vulnerable encryption protocol or a common network name (SSID) are used. Based on this information, Kaspersky Secure Connection identifies the network as secure or vulnerable.
