While updating the following operating systems, you may experience some problems with compilation of the residence protection module of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Linux File Servers:

  • Ubuntu 14.04.x
  • Ubuntu 16.04.x

To eliminate the problem:

  1. Download the kb_13487.zip  archive, which contains fixed resident protection module source code. Extract the files from the archive.
  2. Copy the kernel.tgz file into the folder /opt/kaspersky/kav4fs/src
  3. Execute the commands:

cd /opt/kaspersky/kav4fs/src
mv kernel kernel.orig
tar -zxvf ~/kernel.tgz
/opt/kaspersky/kav4fs/bin/kav4fs-setup.pl --build

The updated module will be included into the installation package of the next version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Linux File Servers.

If the issue persists, please contact Kaspersky Lab Technical Support.
