The Data Encryption feature of Kaspersky Secure Connection protects confidential information against unauthorized access and data leakage.
The data is stored in an encrypted form in a special vault. A vault is an encrypted folder you can create in the Data Encryption component.
Vaults are encrypted with the AES XTS 256 block cipher with the effective key length of 56 bit.
You will need to enter the password to access the data stored in the vault. You can access the data in the vault only from the computer with Kaspersky Security Cloud installed.
When you open the vault, all files in it are decrypted. When you lock it, the files are encrypted again.
