How to use the Trusted Applications mode in Kaspersky Security Cloud

The article refers to Kaspersky Security Cloud — Family and Kaspersky Security Cloud — Personal. 

In the Trusted Applications mode of Kaspersky Security Cloud, only the launch of trusted applications is allowed.  Kaspersky Security Cloud identifies the application as assigned as untrusted if Kaspersky Security Network has no information about it or if he website from which the app was downloaded is not trusted. Only known and trusted applications are allowed to run.

Before you enable the Trusted Applications mode, make sure Application Control, File Anti-Virus, and System Watcher are enabled in the product.

To enable the Trusted Applications mode:

  1. In the main window of Kaspersky Security Cloud, click More Tools.

  1. In the Tools window, click Trusted Applications mode.

  1. Click Enable.

  1. Kaspersky Security Cloud will scan the operating system and the applications installed on the computer. Scanning may take a significant period of time (up to several hours). The scan is performed only at the first startup. Wait until the scan is complete.

  1. Check if the applications you often use run correctly. If necessary, you can adjust Application control settings by clicking Manage applications.
