The article concerns the following versions of Kaspersky Security Center 10:

  • Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 1 (version 10.4.343)

If reinstallation is required for the Administration Server, you need to create a backup copy of the database or the certificate. To save the copy of the certificate so that you will be able to restore the connection with workstations, do the following:

  1. Run the klbackup.exe tool which is located in the Kaspersky Security Center 10 folder.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Choose Perform backup of Administration Server data, select the check box Restore or backup Administration Server certificate only. Click Next.

  1. Click Next -> Next -> Finish.

If the new network structure is created, you can only use the klbackup.exe tool to restore the server’s certificate from backup.
