Kaspersky Security can assign Security Tags to the protected SVM:

  • The ANTI_VIRUS.VirusFound.threat=high security tag is assigned to the SVM on whcih viruses or other threats were detected.
  • The IDS_IPS.threat=high security tag is assigned to the VM in the traffic of which the network attack related activty was detected.

You can assign and remove security tags manually in the VMware vSphere Web Client console:

  • In the VM properties, you can assign or remove security tags for a specific VM.
  • In the VMware NSX Manager properties, you can assign or remove security tags for one or more VMs.

All settings are changed through the console:

  1. Open the VMware vSphere Web Client console and connect to the VMware vCenter server.
    1. In the browser, open: https://<vCenter IP address>.
    2. Follow the link Log in to vSphere Web Client.
    3. Enter the user name and the password for connection to the VMware vCenter and click Login.
