The Self-Defense component protects Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows against the attempts of malware to block or delete the product.

Self-Defense prevents:

  • Changing and deleting product’s files, including operating files, antivirus databases, quarantine, and trace files.
  • Editing or deleting product’s registry entries.
  • Stopping the processes of the product.

If Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit is installed on your computer, protection against changing and deleting product files and registry keys is also available.
