How to enable or disable Self-Defense in Kaspersky Total Security 2017

You may need to disable the Self-Defense component of Kaspersky Total Security 2017 to delete the existing trace files of the product if they take up too much space on your hard drive.

To enable or disable Self-Defense:

  1. In the main window of Kaspersky Internet Security 2017, click the gear button.

  1. If you have problems opening the application, see this guide.
  1. If access to the program is password-protected, enter your password in the Settings window, select the Save password for current session check box and click Continue.

  1. In the Settings window, go to AdditionalSelf-Defense.

  1. In the Self-Defense settings window, select or clear the Enable Self-Defense check box.

  1. In the Attention! dialog box, click Continue.
