Cannot connect Kaspersky Free to My Kaspersky

If you are running Windows 8.1 with both Kaspersky Free and Avast installed, Kaspersky Free will not connect to the My Kaspersky portal. 

To connect Kaspersky Free to My Kaspersky:

  1. Disable Web Shield in Avast or remove Avast completely. For instructions on removing Avast, see this article.

Disabling Web Shield in Avast 

  1. Wait 30–60 minutes. 
  2. In the main window of Kaspersky Free, click My Kaspersky.

Opening the My Kaspersky connection window in Kaspersky Free

  • To learn how to open the main application window, see this article.
  1. Enter your My Kaspersky account details and click Sign in.

Connecting Kaspersky Free to My Kaspersky 

Kaspersky Free is now connected to your My Kaspersky account.
