Custom application categories are application categories created manually on the Administration Server. You cannot create custom application categories in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows.

Using application categories, you can manage the launch of these applications on client computers with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows installed.

To create an application category:

  1. Open the Administration Console.
  2. Go to Advanced →Application management → Application categories and click Create a category.

    • Category with content added manually
    • Category with content added automatically
    • Category which includes executable files from the selected devices

    • From the executable files list: the specified executable files from the Executable files section (executable files from managed computers) are added to the category.
    • From file properties: specify the details of the executable files to be added to the category.
    • Metadata from files in folder: all executable files which have similar metadata as the files in the specified folder are added to the category.
