To integrate Kaspersky Security Mail Gateway with remote MTA via Milter:

  1. Open the Kaspersky Secure Mail Gateway  virtual machine console or connect to it via SSH.
  2. Enter Technical Support Mode.
  3. Add the line START_MILTER=1 into the file /var/opt/kaspersky/klms/installer.dat
  4. Open the file /etc/opt/kaspersky/klms/klms_filters.conf
  5. Find the [milter] section, in the line socket=inet:10025@127.0.0.1, change 127.0.0.1 network adapter external address and 10025 to the socket currently used by MTA. This allows an external MTA to establish the connection with Kaspersky Security Mail Gateway.
  6. Open the file /etc/sysconfig/iptables
  7. Find the line -A input_defaults -m state --state RELATED,ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT and add the following line above it: -A input_defaults -i eth0 -p tcp --dport 10025 -j ACCEPT
  8. Execute the command iptables service iptables restart

Please note: The command service network restart does not restart iptables.
