How to connect mobile devices through the connection gateway in Kaspersky Security Center 10

The article concerns the following versions of Kaspersky Security Center 10:

  • Service Pack 3 (version 10.5.1781.0)
  • Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 1 (version 10.4.343)
 
 
 
 

To connect a mobile device via Connection Gateway in Kaspersky Security Center 10.3.407:

  1. Right-click the Administration Server node and select Properties from the shortcut menu.

  1. Go to the Update agents section. In the right part of the window, clear the check box Assign update agents automatically. Select the device acting as the connection gateway and click Properties.

  1. In the Gateway section, select the check box Connection gateway and all the check boxes in the settings box. Remember or copy the DNS name or IP of the gateway and click OK.

Note: Ports are configurable if need be.

  1. Go to AdvancedRemote installation → Installation packages and open the properties of the Kaspersky Security 10 for Mobile installation package.

  1. Click the Settings tab and make sure that the server address specified is the public facing address of the connection gateway. Also make sure the port specified matches the port selected for the connection gateway settings.
  2. Deploy the package and install on the mobile device.
  3. Synchronize the mobile device with Kaspersky Security Center 10.
